This package comes with 10 Duracell Type 123 Lithium Batteries that are used to power the Zoll AED Plus. The batteries have a 5 year expiration date while the AED is in stand-by mode and if not in stand-by mode they expire in 10 years. After the AED has been used in a rescue situation they need to be replaced.
