Moleskin is designed to protect exposed, blistered skin, preventing further inflammation and soreness. 

Protect against things that rub you the wrong way. Adhesive-backed moleskin patches can be trimmed and secured to prevent blisters and abrasions. Moleskin cushions against friction and pressure.
