A note about the first aid guide:
While we have found that many manufacturers are producing “ANSI 2015 Compliant” first aid kits and cabinets, but the guides inside do not meet minimum content for ANSI compliance. This cabinet includes the 2015 ANSI compliant Urgent First Aid Guide:
This 52 Page, Full Color American CPR Training™ / American Environmental Health & Safety™ First-Aid Guide published by Urgent First Aid™ is a fast-and-easy reference written by a Team of EMS and Healthcare professionals to help lay responders assisting others that become suddenly ill or injured. © 2013 (and updated in 2017 to the newest OSHA & ANSI guidelines!) From minor injuries and ailments to life-threatening emergencies, this ANSI & OSHA First Aid Guide Book covers what you need to know in a fast and easy to follow format. Convenient “at-a-glance” lifesaving chart shows how to perform CPR, and the guide explains using an AED to save a life.
The Urgent First Aid Guide includes content developed for the ‘Stop the Bleed’ campaign which was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council Staff, The White House, and with participation of Writers and Editors of this guide. The purpose of the campaign is to build national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters. Advances made by military medicine and research in hemorrhage control during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have informed the work of this initiative which exemplifies translation of knowledge back to the homeland to the benefit of the general public. The Department of the Defense owns the ‘Stop the Bleed’ logo and phrase.
